- To apply car decals, start by thoroughly cleaning the vehicle's surface with soapy water or rubbing alcohol, ensuring it's free of dust and debris. Align the decal using masking tape if needed, peel off the backing, and carefully press the decal onto the surface, smoothing it out from the center with a squeegee or credit card to remove air bubbles. If using the wet method, spray the surface with soapy water before applying the decal to allow for repositioning and bubble removal. Finally, peel off the transfer tape and admire your new decal.
